Sharon Reib brings extensive experience as a teacher, administrator and has a true passion for making a difference in learning and teaching. She loves children and is a teacher at heart.

Sharon has taught many years with the Calgary Board of Education and has served as both a school based principal and a system leader in numerous settings. While she has worked in schools K-9, most of her background has been at the elementary level. She has worked in multi-aged progressive schools and understands the Montessori philosophy; she is also very comfortable with more progressive education.

Her vision for RVS ensures that we remain a united community with a common mission and core values.  Sharon is looking forward to using her leadership to raise the profile of River Valley School, building on its legacy and ensuring that our values are at the centre of all decisions and processes.

Sharon Reib holds high standards and expectations for all. She has a strong belief that young people and teachers alike have untapped potential and a desire to use their imagination and creativity to make a difference in the world in which they live.  She wants the school to be a place of excellence, a place where mutual respect and trust continue, a place where care, confidence and creativity reside along side academic rigour and excellence.
